St. Patrick, “The Apostle of the Emerald Isle,” is the patron Saint of Ireland, Nigeria, Montserrat, the Archdioceses of New York, Newark, and Melbourne, and the cities of Boston (Massachusetts), Rolla (Missouri), Loíza (Puerto Rico), and Murcia (Spain). He is also the patron saint of engineers and paralegals. He is often invoked to drive away snakes and sins, and is venerated as a Saint by the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches, and recognized as a Saint by the Anglican and Lutheran Churches as well.
